Yercaud is a hill station in Salem District, in Tamil Nadu state. It is situated at an altitude of 1515 metres (4970 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in Yercaud is the Servarayan temple, at 5,326 feet (1,623 m). Yercaud is connected to city of Salem, through Highway of 28 km. Generally the temperature never rises above 29 °C (84 °F) or goes below 13 °C (55 °F). Coffee and citrus fruits, most notably oranges, are grown in abundance apart from bananas, pears and jackfruit. Trekking here can be one of the most pleasurable ways to pass time.

Big Lake:
The Lake with its wonderful hilly surroundings & well maintained gardens on its banks is feast for the eyes. There is floating fountain in the middle of the lake & boating facilities are available.
Lady’s Seat:
Lady’s seat is a rock in the form of a seat, overlooking winding Ghat road and Salem town.
Shevaroy Templse and Bear’s cave:
The temple is situated on top of Shevaroy Hill. View from here is fantastic.
Killiyur Falls:
This amazing waterfall is located about 3 km from the town, best to visit just after the monsoon. This 300ft high waterfall is situated amidst picturesque surroundings.
Botanical Garden:
Garden is home to hundreds of plants, including the rarities like Pitcher Plant. You will also find specimens of famous Kurunji flower, which blooms once in 12 yrs. The garden has an Orchidarium, it houses over a hundred species of Orchids, of which about 30 are exclusive.
Morning you drive to Yercaud (about 250 km / 5 hrs). Check in to the hotel. By evening visit Big Lake. Stay overnight in Yercaud.
Early morning go for a long walk / trek. After the breakfast, local sightseeing covering Lady’s Seat, Shevaroy temple & Bear’s Cave, Killiyur Falls, Botanical garden etc … Overnight stay in Yercaud.
Have breakfast at leisure. You drive back to Bangalore.
