The city is known as the Sun City for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort.
Mehrangarh Fort: Mehrangarh Fort stands a hundred feet in splendour on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the sky line of Jodhpur. Burnished red sand stone, imposing, invincible and yet with a strange haunting beauty that beckons. It is acknowledged as the finest living example of a Hindu fortress.
The Audio tour throws light on both the art and architecture of this magnificent and impregnable Fort, which was attacked often but never conquered by force, while recounting the stories and legends of the proud ruling Rathore clan, the legendary Rajput warriors of Marwar.
Jaswant Thada : To the left of the Mehrangarh Fort complex is the Jaswant Thada. It is a 19th century royal monument built in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur. The commemorative plaque has two more tombs within it. Near to this are the royal crematorium and three other cenotaphs.
After early breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer (about 290 kms – 5 hr drive). Check in to the CAMP. Evening you visit Jaisalmer Fort.
Jaisalmer nicknamed as "The Golden City". The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured. It lies in the heart of the Thar Desert and has a population of about 78,000.
Favourite activities: Camel ride & jeep safari to the sand dunes.
Morning spend time at leisure / optional jeep ride to the sand dunes. By noon, you drive back to Jodhpur.
Shopping: They include textile dyers, metal engravers and die-makers
After leisurely breakfast, drive to Udaipur. En route visit Ranakpur jain temples. Stay overnight in Udaipur.
Ranakpur is located in the mountain ranges of Pali district. The Ranakpur Jain Temple were built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. An enormous basement covers 48,000 sq. feet area. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns. The total number of columns is 1,444 all of which are intricately carved no two being alike. The artistically carved nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are an engrossing sight. In the assembly hall, there are two big bells weighing 108 kgs, whose sound echoes in the entire complex.
Spend the day in Udaipur – local sightseeing. Go for optional boat ride at lake Pichola. Stay overnight in Udaipur.
Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes. Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city are considered some of the most beautiful lakes.
City Palace, Udaipur : Udaipur City Palace is located peacefully on the banks of Lake Pichola. This majestic City Palace is the most-visited tourist attraction of Udaipur and often distinguished as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Initially, Maharana Udai Singh built this superb wonder, but the present form of the Palace is the result of subsequent additions by his successors.
Jagdish Temple : Temple is located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo - Aryan style of architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu the preserver of the Universe. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace.
Lake Pichola : Located in the heart of the city, Pichola Lake is the oldest and one of the largest lakes of Udaipur. Lake extended to 3 miles in length, 2 miles in width and has depth of about 30 feet. Pichola Lake is enveloped by tall Palaces, temples, bathing ghats and elevated hills on all its sides. Lake comprises several islands. The world-renowned Lake Palace is perfectly located on the Jag Island of this tranquil lake. At the time sun-set, a boat ride in this lake is sufficient to mesmerize anyone.
Jag Mandir : Jag Mandir Palace is located on the southern island of Lake Pichola. The three-storied Palace is a palatial structure made in yellow sandstone and marble.
Gulab Bagh ( Sajjan Niwas Garden ) : Situated right beneath the banks of Pichola Lake on Lake Palace Road, Gulab Bagh is an interesting park in the southeast of City Palace complex.This garden is sprawled over 100 acres of land. During 1850's, Maharana Sajjan Singh took the initiative to built this beautiful garden. Sajjan Niwas Bagh is celebrated for its numerous varieties of roses.
Monsoon Palace : The Monsoon Palace, formerly known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan in India, overlooking the lake Pichola. It offers a panoramic view of the city's lakes, palaces and surrounding countryside. It was built basically to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace.
Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of maids) : The garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art and fountains. This renowned garden is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, presenting a green retreat in the dry lands of Rajasthan.

Half day vehicle for local sightseeing / shopping. By noon, drop to Udaipur airport.
