DAY 01: ARRIVE LEH
On arrival at Leh airport, placard pick up & transfer to hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Rest for some time to get acclimatized to the altitude. Afternoon, drive to Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Later in the evening walk around local market. Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 02: LEH – LOCAL TOUR
Today you will be doing tour of Hemis, Thiksey Shey monastery, 3 Idiots School Campus & Sindhu Darshan site.

After a leisurely breakfast visit Hemis Monastery - situated about 45 kilometers west of Leh. Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh.

From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery - located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.

After that continue to drive through series of Buddhist shrines to visit Shey Palace - the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh, 3 Idiots School Campus, Sindhu Darshan site visit. Overnight stay at Leh

DAY 03: LEH – KHARDUNG LA – NUBRA VALLEY
Today you are covering about 120 Kms, which takes about 4/5hrs.

After leisurely breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla - one of the highest Motor able roads in the World at an altitude of 18,380 ft. Arrive at Hundur by Afternoon. Afternoon, you explore Diskit, Hunder Village. Visit Diskit monastery. Optional camel Safari on the Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay at the camp in Nubra.

DAY 04: NUBRA VALLEY – KHARDUNG LA - CYCLE DOWN TO LEH leh ladakh tour packages

After leisurely breakfast, drive back to Khardung La by same Route. On arrival at Khardung La, Cycles will be waiting for you - pick one & cycle down to Leh. Reach Leh by evening. Stay overnight in Leh.

DAY 05: DAY HIKE TO STOK GORGE
This is a popular short trek & involves 30 mins drive & about 6 hrs hiking.

Drive to Stok village and begin hike to Stok Gorge. From the top, enjoy the view of popular Stok Kangri (located at an altitude of 6200mtrs). On the way enjoy unique rock formations. Visit Stok palace and Museum. Walk down & drive back to Leh. Stay overnight in Leh.

DAY 6: LEH – PANGONG LAKE – LEH
Lake is located about 155 kms away from leh town & one way drive is about 4 to 5 hrs. Leh ladakh tourism

After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake. Drive is through Changla Pass (17,350 ft). On arrival, enjoy the beauty of the lake by standing on the banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Drive back to Leh by the same route. Overnight stay in Leh

This “long, narrow, enchanted” lake is a landlocked water body at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in Tibet.The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. Lake is much famed after Bollywood block buster - 3 idiots.

DAY 6: LEH – PANGONG LAKE – LEH
After leisurely breakfast, drive to Alchi. Visit 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. While driving back, stop at Sangam ( confluence of Indus & Zanskar ). Rafting between Phey & Nimmo. Visit Hall of Fame ( kargil war memorial museum ) near leh. Time for shopping. Stay overnight in Leh.

DAY 08: LEH AIRPORT DROP
