 Dandeli is located on the banks of river Kali, known for wildlife sanctuary. Dandeli is home to the most mysterious of the big cats- The Black Panther. Dandeli reputedly the oldest declared game reserve in the country is home for other creatures like flying squirrel, flying snake, flying lizard, variety of horn bills etc... Visit Dandeli to experience the great wilderness, but not in the hope of seeing big games like elephants, sambhar etc...
The West Coast Paper Mill is the main industry there. Almost al the people in Dandeli is either dependent on this industry or tourism.
 Location: About 480kms from Bangalore & about 75 kms from Hubli

Syntheri rock : 300 ft monolith granite, located deep inside the thick Dandeli wildlife Sanctuary. With the river gushing ferociously by the sides, Syntheri rock is a spectacular sight.
Kavala Caves (30 km) :Trek up a thousand steps to visit prehistoric man made lime stone caves.
Sykes Point: Known for unhindered view of Kali river flowing through the valley below. |
